Silent Promo is a service providing businesses direct contact to their customers phones via the use of SMS/Txt technology for promotional and marketing purposes.
Silent Promo is entirely web based and accessed directly off this web site. Just click the ‘console’ link at the top of the page once you are a member and login.
Once logged in you can manage your phone number lists, other relevant customer information, compose your messages and even schedule future messages to be sent.
As a Silent Promo customer you are charged a small monthly fee for use of the service, a price per txt for each message you send, and are invoiced on a monthly basis with 20 day payment terms.
For end users, the service is completely FREE, the only cost is if you txt in to join a list which costs 50c. It is completely FREE to unsubscribe from any list.
When you join up to a business’s messaging list your number is stored in a secure database which only that business and us (Silent Communications Ltd) have access to. Your number will only be used for the purpose of that list and nothing else.
Your number will not be sold to or viewed by any other outside parties.
Please note that your number is able to be used on multiple lists if you choose to sign up to more than one.
Simple! Once you know the business’s list code, simply txt JOIN, then a space, and then the list code you have, to 8040.
For example: JOIN SLNT
You will receive a confirmation welcome message upon joining.
Each JOIN txt you send will cost you 50c.
If you have received a message from a list which you no longer wish to be a member of, then just hit REPLY on your handset and reply with the word STOP.
This method is completely FREE.
Additionally, if you know the list code you wish to be removed from, simply txt X, then a space, and then the list code you have, to 8040.

On September 5 2007, the UEM Act came into effect which put in place some enforceable rules around the sending of electronic messages (including Txt) for commercial purposes.
Our Silent Promo service is 100% compliant with the Act and was one of the first to be so. We believe the issues around Spam and Privacy with these sorts of services to be of great importance to us and will always guarantee compliance.
Under contract our customers are only allowed to send you a maximum of one message per day.
